Hiber is building a social platform for a generation to communicate and express themselves through games. We are a fast-paced start-up that balances structure and opportunity. We focus on ensuring that we continue to grow our market position and execute on our massive opportunity to reach a generation of 2.4 billion with our social game creation platform.

VP of Product

We are looking for a proven, senior-level product leader to manage all aspects of the Hiber platform. You’ll be a member of the executive team with the ability to shape and grow the company and platform as part of our group. You’ll run creative, development and live-ops, ensuring we are delivering a high-quality, engaging and fun experience to our growing audience. You will be responsible for the product vision and for taking that vision and delivering it across all stages, from planning, to development, to growth. 

You'll be responsible for growing the product team and be the driving force behind our entrance into mobile App stores and emerging distribution opportunities. You will also help define the product road map with the executive team to ensure we have a robust feature set and that key metrics are improved at each milestone. 

We believe that you like a challenge and find solutions to problems quickly. You are a team player and respond to internal and external input with a positive outlook, mixing it with experience and confidence to execute on the plan. 

Your knowledge and experience building and tuning game mechanics, understanding player psychology, and creating Free-to-Play systems, as well as monetization loops are huge assets and will guide the platform to success.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Senior level leadership, ownership of the development team and process
  • Cross-discipline planning, coordination and management of the product
  • Coordination with marketing and social media to ensure alignment on timelines features and opportunities to promote the development and the team
  • Owning product performance, and setting and ensuring we hit our KPIs
  • Budgeting and estimating time and resources so we can manage the overall company P&L
  • Being the face of the product and the team to both internal and external partners and stakeholders, including presentations, reporting, etc.
  • Being a positive leadership force in the company
  • Ensuring we never drink our own Kool-Aid
  • Adding to the Hiber culture
  • Getting Sh!t done

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven experience in product management or production in the games industry   
  • Expertise with F2P products (mobile and/or desktop)
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of the F2P marketing ecosystem, especially User Acquisition principles and how they influence product and road map development
  • Extensive experience with F2P monetization design and tuning
  • Understanding of player motivation and psychology
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of how we need to work as a start-up
  • Experience in managing project budgets
  • Team leadership experience
  • Fluent in English

  • Full-time, permanent Senior Management position
  • Reports to CEO
  • Very competitive salary and equity package
  • 6 weeks paid vacation per year
  • Location: Stockholm, Sweden, or Gothenburg, Sweden
  • Flexible relocation timing + paid relocation
